Took pictures at Kintaikyo Bridge and walked around the tourist area and realized that the JCN suggestion of 'camping' in this area was a tongue in cheek joke. It was quite busy being Friday and the beginning of a weekend and I needed to find a place before they all booked up but lucked out at Omotenashi Hostel Miyajima in Saeki. Very large common room and all new modern utilities. I relaxed here for 2 nights and did laundry. I later booked at Santiago Hostel Hiroshima. where I went for a little sightseeing and souvenir shopping.

Street view having Coffee at Tokyu Hands |
Besides arts & crafts items, you can get all sorts of neat and unique souvenirs and gifts at Tokyu Hands. The stationary sections in stores in Japan are strangely appealing. So many pens, pencils, brush pens in orderly displays with sample pads are like sirens drawing you in. And each of them feel and write so differently..

Hiroshima Tram |
Cycling through the city and out towards Kure.
